Mavericks Dominate Game 5

The Minnesota Timberwolves' season came to an end on Wednesday night after a 124-103 loss to the Dallas Mavericks in Game 5 of their first-round playoff series. The Mavericks never trailed in the game and led by as many as 28 points in the fourth quarter.

The Timberwolves were led by Anthony Edwards, who had 22 points. D'Angelo Russell added 20 points, and Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 19 points.

Timberwolves Struggle to Find Footing

The Timberwolves never seemed to find their footing in the game. They shot just 39.8% from the field and were outrebounded by the Mavericks 50-32.

The Timberwolves also turned the ball over 16 times, which led to 25 points for the Mavericks.

The Mavericks' defense was also a major factor in the game. They held the Timberwolves to just 103 points, which is their lowest scoring output of the playoffs.

Mavericks Advance, Timberwolves Season Ends

The Mavericks will now advance to the second round of the playoffs, where they will face the Phoenix Suns. The Suns are the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference and are considered one of the favorites to win the NBA championship.

The Timberwolves' season ends with a disappointing playoff exit. They were hoping to make a deep run in the playoffs, but they were simply outmatched by the Mavericks.

The Timberwolves will now have to regroup and prepare for next season. They have a lot of young talent on their roster, and they could be a playoff contender again next year.
